The BMP280 barometric pressure sensor is designed for mobile applications. The sensor module uses a very compact package. Its small size and low power consumption allow the realization of devices such as battery-powered mobile phones, GPS modules or watches.
The proven piezoresistive pressure sensor technology of BMP280 has electromagnetic compatibility with high accuracy, linearity, long-term stability and high robustness. Many equipment operation options provide flexibility, optimized power consumption of the device, resolution and filter performance. In the case of a test example used, the default settings are for developers in order to make the design as simple as possible.

The digital air pressure sensor BMP280 can provide excellent performance, with a relative accuracy of ±0.12 hPa (equivalent to ±1 meter), and the sensor power consumption is only 2.7μA. BMP280 has a small package of 2.0 x 2.5 x 0.95 mm3, including pressure and temperature measurement functions.
